Meet Angelica Ocampo, a 27 year old artist located in Downtown Miami.
Angela realized she has a love for art about six years ago while studying advertising and marketing at her university. Â It was only when she took a course entitled, “Art History” that she discovered her true passion: ART!
Despite having graduated from university with a degree in marketing, Angelica went on to work for an art gallery once she was out of school. Â While working with the owner of the Art Gallery, she was able to learn more and more about art and what it means to be an artist. Â With the little savings she had, Angelica was able to purchase her own art materials in order to fully pursue her dream of becoming an artist.
It was then that Angelica created KIKART, a space where she is able to create conceptual painting and sculptures with striking colors and a unique eye. Â Throughout the last two years, Angelica has been managing her art across multiple social media platforms where she has been able to reach a variety of different people and create an impact of her own in the world of Art!
Although it has not been an easy journey, Angelica shows a great deal of admiration for her accomplishments and gives God all the credit for the support and good vibes she received along the way. Â After leaving her home in Colombia, Angelica came to Miami with only a suitcase full of art supplies and a few items of clothing to follow her passion. Â In her quest for success, Angelica decided to give up partying and even lost a few friends along the way. Â Thought she was alone and struggled to make earnings while supporting herself, Angelica considers that wheat is done with a good heart and strong effort gives the best results at the end of each day.
The she was fighting alone to return everything they did for her during this period of growth, her parents were never far from her side. Â Angelica knew what she wanted and pursued it without any hesitation. Â She came here to raise her voice and make an impact in art. Â Her goal is to inspire every child to discover that creative and artistic side inside of them and let it blossom. Â After two years of hard work and dedication to continuing to fight for this dream, she believes that any dream is possible, AS LONG AS YOU NEVER GIVE UP!
