F1 MIAMI 2022

Miami is set to host the pinnacle in Motorsport Racing, that is the Formula 1 race. For the first time in Formula 1 history, the greatest racing spectacle will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. As negotiated this will be a decades long deal for the race to be held in Miami with the 1st race coming to us on the 8th of May. F1 ownership and management (Liberty Media) has pushed for more races in the US as they have earmarked the nation as a great source of revenue and expansion opportunity. The Miami Grand Prix is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year, bringing the most talented drivers, racing teams, and fans to the Magic City.

F1 Schedule for Miami

Miami Grand Prix

UK specialists Apex Circuit Design laid out the 5.41-kilometre anticlockwise circuit, around the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Its most sinuous section is through Turns 13-16, which wind around the entrance and exit ramps and beneath the flyover sections of the Florida Turnpike, the main toll road between Miami and Orlando, and NW 203rd Street. This sector has been touted by the track designers as a “mistake generator” leading up to the back straight which is the section providing the largest overtaking opportunities. The track is expected to produce an average lap speed of just under 135mph, and this slow-speed section precedes a 1.28km, 320kph straight that leads towards the hairpin at Turn 17.
As it stands the top 3 in the Drivers Championship are:

1. Charles LeClerc – 86
2. Max Verstappen – 59
3. Sergio Perez – 54

Rule changes implemented for the 2022 season have seen long standing V6 Hybrid era frontrunners Mercedes AMG F1 team struggling with their car. At every major rule change the interpretation of these rules usually has an effect on the places of the field with Mercedes being the benefactor back at the onset of the turbo-hybrid era. Sir Lewis Hamilton sits in 7th position and has yet to show any of his abilities in a car that is purposing (bouncing) around more than the rest of the field.

Miami is also set to have a celebrity filled week as the F1 mania rolls into town with events lined up to cater to event goers. Throughout the race weekend, Chef Dayanny De La Cruz, Sodexo Live! Executive Chef of the Hard Rock Stadium will be responsible for the menus across the fan areas and premium hospitality locations such as the suites and MSC Cruises Yacht Club, where the menus will feature a distinct Miami feel.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Of course Social Media has been abuzz for months now about the race.   It is a historic event, and no better way for it to be memorialized than via Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.  One of our favorite posts comes from famous comedian, Brittany Brave.  She did a great job of cutting up official videos with some street content she created herself.  Its easy top see big things in her future with creative, hysterical content like this.
